Recap of last week:

Last week we talked about the letter U. The children glued a unicorn to the front cover of their book. They completed two pages and brought the rest home for homework. Thank you for sending in the words and pictures beginning with U.
In Religion we continued to talk about Advent. We read the story: "An Angel Brings Wonderful News to Mary". We made an Advent wreath from a paper plate and toilet paper rolls. We read about Saint Nicholas and received a special treat in our shoes on Friday. The children cut a Christmas tree from construction paper and decorated it. We began a new unit called: "Our Community". We explored a map of the community and talked about the different places

This Coming Week:

This week we'll focus on the letter C. The children will glue candles to the front cover of their book and complete four pages in school. The rest can be completed at home. Please send in pictures or words beginning with the letter C. In Religion we'll read: "Mary's Baby" and recall details from the story. We'll talk about things we can do and say to show that we love Jesus.
We'll read about animals that hibernate and migrate in our Weekly Reader.
We'll continue to work on some Christmas crafts/projects. We'll also be practicing for our Nativity Play.
